November 23, a postage stamp was issued into circulation dedicated to the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation



12 January 1722, in accordance with Peter the Great’s decree to the Senate, the Russian Prosecutor’s Office was established to “eliminate or weaken the evil resulting from disorder in affairs, injustice, corruption and unlawful acts”. The prosecution agencies have transformed many times since then, their functions have changed in control over law enforcement and crime fighting.

The postage stamp depicts the building and emblem of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation.

In addition to the postage stamp, JSC Marka is to issue a FDC and a cancellation postmark for Moscow.
