Archangelsk Region. Situated in the North-West of Russia, is washed by the White, the Barents and the Karskoye seas. Incorporates the Nenetsky Autonomous Area. The centre of the region is Archangelsk (founded in 1584). The stamp features a landscape of the central Archangelsk region. In the left part of the stamp there is a detail of Sever Monument (1929-1930, cement, by I.K.Altukhov). In the right part of the stamp there is the Ascension Church in the village of Kusherka in the Onega Region, 1669; and the Museum of Wooden Architecture in the village of Malye Korely.

The stamp features the valley of the Lena River, the largest river of the region, with limestone rocks (Lensky Pillars). In the upper right corner there is a detail of a monument to the heroes of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 in Yakutsk, a bas-relief illustrating Olonkho, a Yakutian epic (Niungur Bootur the Impetuous, bronze, wood, concrete, 1990-1995, by I.A.Sleptsov).

Kamchatka Region. The region, situated in the North-East of the Asian part of the Russian Federaion, occupies the Kamchatka Peninsula, the adjacent part of the mainland, and the Comandor Isles. The region is washed by the Okhotskoe sea, the Pacific Ocean and the Bering sea. The centre of the Region is Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky (founded in 1740). The stamp features a landscape of Eastern Kamchatka with Kluchevskaya Volcano (4850 m), the highest point of the Far East. In the left part of the stamp there is the view of the port of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky and a monument to "St.Peter" and "St.Paul" ships (1973, a detail). In the foreground there is the Geyzer Valley in Eastern Kamchatka.
