A postage stamp is being issued to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the International Association of the Academies of Sciences founded on 23 September 1993 when its constituent assembly was held in Kiev with participation of the heads of the National Academies of Sciences of a number of Asian and European countres who signed an agreement on establishing of the IAAS. The stamp bears the emblem of the International Association of the Academies of Sciences.
