The first official catalogue of the state signs of postal payment of the Russian Empire, the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic, the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics.

The edition consists of descriptions and color illustrations of around 2500 postage stamps, souvenir sheets and small sheets issued in The Russian Empire from 1857 to 1919, in The RSFSR from 1918 to 1923, in the USSR from 1923 to 1960. The catalogue gives the information about number of copies, arrangement of postage stamps on sheets, se-tenants and others necessary facts. The most character kinds of postage stamps and souvenir sheets are illustrated and depicted. The Catalogue is meant for reading public including collectors of domestic postage stamps, specialists of commercial establishments and postal operators
