Russian stamp is a winner of the EUROPE Program 2015



September 19, 2015 the awards ceremony for the best stamp issued in the EUROPE program 2015 was held in Brussels. Jury declared a Russian stamp “Toys” as a winner of the competition.

The honorary prize was presented to representatives of FSUE “Marka” Publishing and Trading Centre supervised by the Federal Communications Agency in a festive atmosphere.



The award ceremony was attended by representatives of the postal administrations of European countries, representatives of the PostEurop Organization, the Russian Embassy in the Kingdom of Belgium.

A stamp “EUROPE Stamp Issue. Toys” was to be released into circulation January 16, 2015. Design - V. Beltiukov. The postage stamp depicts a Carrousel Dymkovo toy and matryoshka dolls. Dymkovo toys are one of the old Russian folk art clay handicrafts. The matryoshka doll refers to a Russian wooden toy which is a set of painted dolls of a decreasing size nested inside each other.



This year, 55 stamps were presented on the competition. The jury consisted of experts in the field of philately. Special EUROPE Program postage stamps with the logo EUROPA issue by the European postal administrations / enterprises since 1956. These stamps are a symbol of a Europe's desire for closer integration and cooperation. PostEurop is the organization responsible for the issuance of stamps on the program of Europe since 1993.
