A souvenir sheet dedicated to the World Festival of Youth and Students will be issued in Russia


The winners of the All-Russian drawing competition for state signs of postal payment dedicated to the XIX World Festival of Youth and Students were determined. Hundreds of pictures of citizens of Russia aged 14 years and older were sent for the competition.

The best souvenir sheet was created by the young artist Ivan Ulyanovskiy from Moscow. The work of Ekaterina Feshchenko from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky The Selfie won in the nomination The Artistic stamped envelope. The sketch shows an acquaintance and a joint photographing of the participants of the event at the opening ceremony of the festival. Julia Trushina, a graduate of the Faculty of Arts of St. Petersburg State University, came up with the best marked postcard. According to the participant of the competition, her work symbolizes the unity of views of professionals and active representatives of youth from all over the world, their talents, knowledge, skills and aspirations, from which great new ideas can be born.

The winners were chosen by the competent jury, which included Deputy Head of the Federal Communications Agency Vladimir Shelikhov, Director General of Marka Artem Adibekov, First Secretary of the Union of Artists of Russia Nikolay Borovskoy, Head of the Directorate for the Preparation and Holding of the World Festival of Youth and Students Ksenia Razuvaeva.

The works of the winners will form the basis for the design of state postal payment signs. Postage stamps, envelopes and cards will be used to pay for sending written correspondence to Russia and the world.

The organizers of the contest were the Roskongress Foundation, the Federal Communications Agency, and JSC “Marka” with the support of the Union of Russian Artists and art universities of the country.

The winners of the contest also got the opportunity to become participants of the XIX World Festival of Youth and Students, which will be held from October 14 to 22 in Sochi and will gather 20,000 young professionals in various fields from 150 countries aged 18 to 35 years.
