On December 3, a New Year stamp will go into postal circulation


New Year is the most beloved and long-desired holiday for most of Russians. 
A New Year stamp 2020 is the winner of the All-Russian drawing competition of New Year and Christmas postage stamps and greeting cards held among citizens of the Russian Federation aged 18+, professional artists, students of art educational institutions and non-professional artists (amateurs). The postage stamp is produced on the basis of a drawing by Svetlana Kirgizova from Irkutsk, the winner of the competition.
The drawings of the competition winners will provide the basis for a New Year postage stamp and unstamped postcards to go on sale in post offices and Collectioner show rooms throughout the country.

The postal stamp provides an image of designer drawing With a magic book open, Father Frost is watching people taking delight in the New Year coming in.

In addition to the issue of the postal stamp, JSC Marka will produce First Day Covers and special cancels for Moscow, St. Petersburg, Khabarovsk, Vladivostok, Pskov, Velikiye Luki of the Pskov Region, Saransk, Blagoveshchensk, Krasnodar, Kaliningrad, Novosibirsk, Stavropol, Tambov, Kaluga, Kazan, and Sochi of the Krasnodar Territory; besides, maxi-cards and two types of illustrated envelopes: with postal stamps and labels as well as with holographic foil stamps for the second emission form will be issued.

On December 10, the second emission New Year postage stamp with foil embossing will go on sale in the composition of an illustrated envelope.
