On August 16, a ceremony took place of special cancellation of a stamped postcard dedicated to the unveiling of the Letter from Home sculptural composition

The event was held in the Patriot Central Military Patriotic Park of Culture and Recreation of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in the frame of the opening of the Letter from Home monument.

The event was attended by Colonel Andrei Priknya, the Head of the Department of Postal and Courier Communications of the Main Communications Directorate of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation; Vyacheslav Akhmedov, the Director of the Patriot Central Military Patriotic Park of Culture and Recreation of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation; Mikhail Volkov, the Director General of JSC Russian Post; and Anatoly Nazeikin, the Chairman of the Communication Workers Union of Russia, the President of the Association of Transport and Communications Trade Unions of Russia.

The Letter from Home sculptural composition shows two separate scenes: a girl who drops a mail envelope into a postbox and a soldier who, standing in a trench, receives the letter from the hands of a military letter carrier.

The stamped postcard provides an image of the Letter from Home sculptural composition and the emblem of the Patriot Central Military Patriotic Park of Culture and Recreation of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. The Print Run is 1.3 thousand cards.

Today, the postcard was put into postal circulation and went on sale in post offices and the Collectioner show room chain.
