Emissions of state valuable postal matter in April

On April 2, a stamp dedicated to Educational event Total Dictation was put into postal circulation.

The Total Dictation is an annual cultural and educational event, which offers an opportunity to those who wish to write a dictation in the Russian language, thereby testing their knowledge in the field of spelling and besides, increasing their literacy through the analysis of the mistakes.

The postal stamp provides an image of the Total dictation logo, a K. Tsiolkovsky's portrait and his quotation.

In addition to the issue of the postal stamp, JSC Marka will produce First Day Covers and special cancels.

On April 6, a stamp dedicated to the Koenigsberg operation was put into postal circulation in the Path to Victory series.

The Koenigsberg operation (April 6-9, 1945) was an offensive operation of the USSR Armed Forces in the course of the Great Patriotic War aimed at defeating the German force grouping and seizure of the fortress city of Koenigsberg.

The stamp provides an image of a bas-relief with a group of Soviet soldiers participating in the Koenigsberg operation.

In addition to the issue of the postal stamp, JSC Marka will produce First Day Covers and special cancels for Moscow, St. Petersburg and Kaliningrad.
