On June 1, four stamps with images of traditional embroidery of the peoples of Russia will go into postal circulation in the Decorative and Applied Arts of Russia series

From the earliest times, embroidery was used for decoration of human clothes and household articles, such as tablecloths, towels, curtains, napkins. For the peoples of Russia, embroidery was one of the most essential forms of artistry. The best embroidery artworks feature clarity, emotional frankness of expression, and high culture of lines, rhythm and color.

The postal stamps provide images of:
— Mari embroidery (XIX century).
— Tatarian embroidery (XX century).
— Chuvash embroidery (XX century).
— Karelian embroidery (XX century).

On June 3, four stamps dedicated to the paleontological heritage of Russia will go into postal circulation

Paleontology is the scientific study of fossil remains of plants and animals. Its main task is to study and reconstruct on the basis of the found remains the habitus, biological features, methods of nutrition and reproduction of extinct animals, as well as to restore the course of their biological evolution.

Fossils of a large variety of theroid reptiles of different eras of the Earth geological history have been found on the territory of modern-day Russia and characterized.

The postal stamps provide images of fossil remains and reconstructed images of Inostrancevia, Pliosaurus rossicus, the woolly mammoth and the Giant Deer.

Russia is rich in traditions and has vast experience in the field of space exploration and, undoubtedly, is the world leader in space development. Our country accomplished the first launch of a manned spacecraft into outer space, the first-ever space walk in outer space, and the first visit to the cis-lunar space.

In November 1970, the Soviet Lunokhod became the world’s first planet research vehicle to operate successfully on the lunar surface.

July 13, 2019, was marked by a successfully launch of a Proton-M launch vehicle with a Spectr-RG space astrophysical observatory.

Currently, new promising manned spacecraft Orel (Eagle) is under development. The first launch is scheduled for 2023, docking with the ISS in 2024, and in 2025 manned flights will start.

The postal block with three stamps provides images of Russian space science achievements: the first self-propelled vehicle Lunokhod-1 (1970), space astrophysical observatory Spectr-RG (2019), and promising manned spacecraft Orel (2025).

On June 11, a postal stamp dedicated to the All-Russian voting on amendments to the Constitution of the Russian Federation will go into postal circulation

In 2020, the All-Russian voting on amendments to the Constitution of the Russian Federation will be held.

In January 2020, Russian President Vladimir Putin suggested to make amendments in the Russian Constitution and sent a respective bill to the floor. The changes concern the chapters on the federal structure of the country, the President, the Federal Assembly, the government, the judicial authorities and the public prosecution office, and local self-government. These chapters are subject to changes through the adoption of federal constitutional law. Based on the results of the declaration of will of nationals, the President will reach the final decision on signing the amendments to the fundamental law.

The postal stamp provides an image of the cover of the Constitution of the Russian Federation against the tricolored flag.

On June 15, a postcard with a commemorative stamp dedicated to the 200th Birth Anniversary of scientist and engineer Pavel M. Obukhov will go into postal circulation in the History of the Armed Forces of Russia series

Pavel Matveevich Obukhov (1820–1869) was a mining engineer and a metallurgy scientist. He was the founder of large-scale production of cast steel and steel gun barrels in Russia.

In the late 1850s, Obukhov devised a design of a new factory for steel artillery production, which came into commission in 1860 and was named Knyaze-Mikhailovsky plant. This event marked the beginning of the cast steel employment for the production of cannon barrels, which was a turning point in the history of Russian artillery.

The commemorative stamp provides images of Russian warriors of different times; the major image presents P. Obukhov’s portrait and steel cannons.

The RASKAT (Rybinsk Asphalt Rollers) Company is the oldest and leading Russian enterprise engaged in the design and production of compacting road-building machinery.

Nowadays, the company mass-produces a wide range of 1.5 to 25 ton compacting machinery. The products of the plant are available in more than 70 countries of the world.

The postal stamp provides images of a solid domestic waste compactor and an old building of the plant.

On June 17, a postal stamp dedicated to the Aleksey Nikolayevich Botyan will go into postal circulation in the Heroes of the Russian Federation series

Starting from 2012, the Federal Communications Agency and JSC Marka issue annually postage stamps in the Heroes of the Russian Federation series as a tribute and a token of thanks to Russian soldiers and officers for the accomplished feats. The common feature of the people to whom these issues are dedicated are great courage, honor, a sense of duty and endless courage, which forced them to perform a feat in the name of their people and Motherland.

The postal stamp features a portrait of Alexei N. Botyan and the Golden Star medal against the background of the sights of the city of Krakow. The quantity is 85 thousand stamps.
 
Alexei Nikolaevich Botyan was an outstanding intelligence officer who participated in the defense of Moscow and played a significant role in protection of the city of Krakow against destruction by German troops. His feat will always be present to the mind of his family, colleagues and friends, and will be recorded in the history of philately of the Russian Federation.


On June 17, a postal block dedicated to the 250th Anniversary of the Russian fleet victory in the Battle of Chesma will go into postal circulation

The battle took place in the Chesma Bay on June 24–26 (July 5–7) of 1770 during the Russian-Turkish War of 1768–1774.

The Russian Navy lost no ships; 11 people died. The Turkish fleet, which for long had been considered invincible, was defeated. The victory in the Chesma Bay played a decisive role during the war, disrupting the communication movements of the Turks and establishing a blockade of one of the straits, namely the Dardanelles.

On June 19, a postal stamp dedicated to the 75th Anniversary of the oncologic service in Russia will go into postal circulation

The development of the oncologic service in Russia has a long history. In 1945, after the end of the Great Patriotic War, the Decree of the Council of People's Commissars of the USSR No. 935 of 04/30/1945 on the construction and deployment of a nationwide network of oncologic institutions established the state system of oncologic service.

In modern-day Russia, the oncologic service is headed by the Ministry of Healthcare of the Russian Federation and Ministries of Health of the constituent entities of the Federation. The oncologic service encompasses 118 oncologic dispensaries of the republican, regional and city levels, and more than 2 thousand oncologic and radiologic departments and medical inspection rooms.

The postal stamp provides an image of a moment of a surgery operation, because timely medical intervention and highly professional work of physicians are the cornerstone of success in cancer treatment.

Vladimir Ilyich Lenin (1870-1924) was an outstanding political and state figure, one of the organizers and leaders of the October revolution of 1917 in Russia, the founder of the first ever socialist state.

He elaborated an integral theory of humankind transition from capitalism to socialism, disclosed its content and regularities, developed and made more specific the doctrine of K. Marx and F. Engels about the dictatorship of the proletariat.

The postal stamp provides an image of the sculptural portrait, and the margins of the stamp sheet show V.I. Lenin’s manuscripts and facsimile.

On June 24, a postal block dedicated to the 100th Anniversary of the establishment of the Chuvash Republic will go into postal circulation

On June 24, 1920, the Decree of the All-Russian Central Executive Committee and the Council of People's Commissars of the RSFSR established the Chuvash Autonomous Region, which on April 21, 1925, was transformed into the Chuvash Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic, and then into the Chuvash Republic in 1992.

The Republic is part of the Volga Federal District. Its area is 18.3 thousand sq. km and the population is 1.21 million people (2020). The Capital of the Republic is Cheboksary.

The Red Army Parade on June 24, 1945, was a historic parade held on Red Square in honor of the victory of the USSR over Germany in the Great Patriotic War. The troops were reviewed by Marshal Georgy Zhukov and handled by Marshal Konstantin Rokossovsky. The participants in the Parade were 24 marshals, 249 generals and 2,536 officers of other ranks, 31,116 sergeants and soldiers.

They were chief communism thinkers who framed a new science of the laws of society, nature and human reasoning development, of the world cognition and its revolutionary remaking for the purpose of building a fair society.
